BOY SCOUTS SEXUAL ABUSE SCANDAL - BY SYNTHIA ESTHER

You encouraged your son to join the Boy Scouts,  to learn and grow to become a well rounded, caring young man, and instead they taught him about sex, abuse and molestation.  Pedophiles flock to engage a relationship with innocent,  cute smiling young boys!   The accounts of children betrayed and violated by adults they trusted ranged across the country.

HUNDREDS SAY SCOUTS IGNORED SEXUAL ABUSE:

"A lawsuit flied this week against the Boy Scouts of America says hundreds of former scouts have come forward in recent months with accounts of sexual abuse, allegations from across eight decades that touch nearly every state.  Lawyers began collecting the accounts which they filed on behalf of a client who alledges his former Scoutmaster plied him with drugs and alcohol before repeatedly sexually abusing him.  ...the lawyers said they have nearly 800 other children who were abused while scouts."

Charges included molestation, fondling, and sodomy.  Who are the accused? "Man of stature in their communities, most of whom volunteered as troop leaders or assistant troop leaders'".  They were police officers, military men, teachers, a town mayor, doctors, and a child psychologist.  They caught the boys in tents and homemade shelters in the wilderness, in their cars shuttling the youth boys back and forth to Scouting activities.  Some were even abused in their own homes!   Courting their prey at Jamborees, isolated summer camp grounds,  and secretive Order of the Arrow ceremonies.  Even church recreation halls were used in order to abuse and molest.  

The lawsuit evidence confirmed that the Scout organization either was unaware or failed to keep records of some of the Scout leaders accused of abuse.  That the Boy Scouts of America could have done more to prevent the sexual abuse, was cited. That is an under statement in my most educated opinion!  As records  of evidence do so confirm:

"Over 92,000 sexual abuse claims were filed with the bankruptcy court before November 16, 2020.  There were nearly 2,000 reported cases of abuse within the Boy Scouts of America prior to 1994, and at least one abuse incident as recent as 2006.  In 2010, a jury ordered that the Scouts pay $18.5 million to a Scout who was abused in the 1980's - it was the largest punitive damages award to a single plaintiff in a child abuse case in the US." - Wikipedia - Jan. 21, 2022.  

These sex addicted criminals  will use and abuse you and your children.  They groom the innocent young ones, in accordance with their parents willing approval.  Be aware, not naive.  Your children's emotional and spiritual health and welfare is always at risk, for these stalkers walk among  us.
